Stylist Spotlight: Meet Suzanne Chapman

Say Hello to Suzanne Chapman, a Kerastase Ambassador and tenured stylist at Tease Hair Boutique! After working miscellaneous jobs in customer service, Suzanne realized how much she enjoyed working with people and decided to enroll at Empire Beauty School in Hyannis, MA. After finishing school and gaining some experience working with hair, Suzanne heard about an opening at Tease and was immediately compelled to apply.

“I became a hair stylist because I’ve always loved customer service and making people feel happy,” says Suzanne, “When I came to Tease, I liked the name and the vibe of the salon, and really enjoyed how professional everyone was.”

Seven years later, Suzanne is now a level six stylist and manager at Tease, assisting with the business side of things while also making sure all of her clients leave feeling happy and beautiful. Specializing in cuts, colors, and extensions, Suzanne has also gained a variety of certifications over the years, including Brazilian blow-out, Cezanne Smoothing Treatment, Babe Tape Extensions and hand-tied extensions, Inca Glow, Kerastase Curl Class, and more.

Suzanne is continuously looking for opportunities to grow her skill set and stay up to date on the latest trends. As a Kerastase ambassador, she works closely with the product representatives to learn about new products and bring that education back to the team.

As passionate as Suzanne is about her job as a hairstylist, she didn’t always think this would be her path. As a child, she wanted to become a dentist to give people beautiful teeth. Despite this not working out, Suzanne is still able to make people feel beautiful everyday.

Outside of work, Suzanne enjoys spending her time off with her bernadoodle Marnie, singing and playing piano, going on walks and hikes, spending time with friends and family and traveling to new places. Her favorite part of traveling is becoming submerged in new cultures as she visits places for the first time, learning how different people around the world live. In fact, if Suzanne didn’t have to work she’d spend her days traveling and making the world a better place.

If you’re coming into the salon for an appointment with Suzanne, she’s always down for a conversation about her adorable dog Marnie or any musical, her favorite being West Side Story.
