Meet Danielle Smith, a level one hair stylist from the South Shore who joined the Tease Hair Boutique team almost two years ago! Growing up in Whitman, Dani knew at a young age that she wanted to be a hair stylist and decided to attend South Shore Vocational Technical High School for Cosmetology.
“I decided to become a stylist because I love doing hair,” says Dani, “I love making people happy when they feel good about their appearance.”
After graduating the four year program, Dani was accepted to the Tease Hair Boutique Associate Program, an educational program focused on mentoring and training new stylists in a hands-on environment that will prepare them for a successful career in hair.
“The associate program is so beneficial. It shows you how to work in real life situations and everyday feels exciting,” Dani explains, “The most important thing I’ve learned is how to communicate and give clients exactly what they want for an outcome!”
Two years into her career with Tease Hair Boutique, Dani is now certified in Brazilian Blowouts and specializes in foils and balayage for blonde hair. Dani loves working at Tease for the knowledge she’s gained through the associate program and the friendly environment.
“To be a great stylist, you have to have strong listening skills,” Dani explains, “and I also believe great blow drying skills are important for every stylist to have.”
When Dani isn’t behind the chair at Tease, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and her favorite animal - her dog Titan. If she didn’t have to work, she would spend her time traveling the world, or at least visiting her favorite vacation spot in the White Mountains.
