Stylist Spotlight: Say Hello to Rebecca Hill

We’re excited to introduce Rebecca Hill, a Level Four Hair Stylist who joined the Tease Hair Boutique team on Valentines Day, and we’re just loving having her here! Growing up in Rockland as an only child, Rebecca has always found herself looking for new ways to channel her creativity. Whether it be drawing or painting, she loves to express herself and work with her hands, always taking on new projects and learning opportunities.

It comes as no surprise that she chose to channel her creativity into beauty and hair; something she has known that she wanted to do since she would spend her days working on new looks for her barbie hair styling head at home.

“I’ve always dreamed of being in the beauty industry since I was a little kid,” says Rebecca, “and I’m so glad I’ve been able to fulfill that dream! Being able to express myself creatively while at work is so much fun, and being able to make my clients feel beautiful and confident is the cherry on top.”

Rebecca pursued her education by attending Toni & Guy Hairdressing Academy in Braintree. Eager to begin her career, she worked in tandem as an apprentice at Maxime Salon in Hingham, gaining experience before completing her education. After that, she gained experience at reputable salons across the South Shore including AZ Studio in Hingham and Michael Albor Salon in Norwell. Excited for a new opportunity, she found her way to Tease Hair Boutique.

Rebecca was drawn to Tease by the culture and environment, describing the salon itself as beautiful and upscale with a great energy.

“I was looking to be a part of a fun and professional team- and that is Tease.” says Rebecca.

Rebecca is certified in Brazilian Blowout and Keratin Complex. When it comes to specialties, she loves creating lived-in looks and balayage techniques and has taken numerous classes in these areas. A redhead herself, she also loves creating beautiful copper looks. Rebecca loves to stay up to date on the latest styles and trends, and she’s currently experimenting with layered looks; working on shag cuts and new layering techniques.

Since becoming a stylist, Rebecca has gained a lot of hands-on experience as she’s worked passionately to perfect her craft and never stop learning.

One of my favorite experiences as a stylist so far was being given the opportunity to take a class in New York City with Vivienne Mackinder on updo and editorial styling. Each of us had our own model and we did a mini photoshoot with each look we created. It was so inspiring and I learned a lot of tips and tricks.”

When she’s not at work, Rebecca loves spending time with her loved ones. An only child, she has a close relationship with her parents and describes her dad as her biggest inspiration for his strong work ethic and sense of humor. She also enjoys spending time with her boyfriend who lives in New Hampshire, heading north whenever she can. A self-proclaimed foodie, she loves trying new foods and restaurants wherever she goes. Rebecca is also an avid reader and can always be found with a book in her bag no matter where she’s headed. If she didn’t have to work for a living, she’d spend her time traveling to visit all 50 states while living in a tricked-out RV.
