Stylist Spotlight: Say Hello to Valerie Curreri

Meet Valerie, a Level Five Hair Stylist who has been working at Tease Hair Boutique for the past ten years. Originally born in New York, Valerie moved to Arizona at a young age where she grew up styling her friends' hair. A self-proclaimed hippie chick, Valerie always knew she wanted to be a Hair Stylist, and followed her dream by attending Empire Beauty School in Arizona. After she graduated, she gained experience as a stylist at Zenizo’s Hair Salon in Arizona before making the move up to Massachusetts and starting her career at Tease Hair Boutique.

“When I walked into the interview there were several signs that made me know right away that Tease is where I wanted to be,” says Valerie.

Valerie has been at Tease Hair Boutique since, and enjoys the work she does as one of the most tenured stylists on the floor. She holds certifications in both Brazilian Blowout and Sassoon Precision Cutting, and she specializes in color correction.

“It makes me feel good when I can make someone else feel good,” says Valerie on why she loves being a Stylist, “Your hair is your crown, and wearing it well helps you feel your best.”

Outside of her time working at Tease, Valerie loves to stay active. In her off time you’ll typically find her working on projects around her house, gardening, shopping, going to baseball games with her son and most importantly spending time with her family and friends. Valerie also has a soft spot for dogs, and considers them important members of her family that she will always have around.
